The African Evaluation Association (AfrEA) is recruiting a full-time Account Manager to join its Secretariat in Accra, Ghana. This local position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to AfrEA’s mission of strengthening evaluation culture and evidence-based development across Africa. The successful candidate will lead financial operations, ensure compliance with donor and statutory requirements, and support strategic planning and institutional growth.

Key responsibilities include:

    • managing income and revenue assurance

    • overseeing payments and expenditure

    • preparing budgets and financial reports

    • maintaining asset and inventory records

    • supporting governance and risk management

The role also involves advising the Board, building staff capacity in financial systems, and implementing internal controls to safeguard resources and ensure transparency.

Applicants must hold at least a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a minimum of five years’ experience in financial management. Professional certifications like CPA and ACCA are preferred as well as proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage. Strong analytical, communication, and advisory skills are essential, as is experience working with donor-funded projects and international NGOs.
