Miché OUEDRAOGO​

Miché Ouédraogo, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at universities accredited by CAMES (African and Malagasy Council for Higher Education). He is Presedent of the Afrcan Evaluation Association. He specializes in policy evaluation and knowledge management, with a focus on monitoring and evaluation (M&E) spanning over 14 years across Africa and the Americas. His expertise extends to capacity building in evaluation methodologies and teaching roles at universities in Canada, Senegal, Burkina Faso, and Mali.

Ouédraogo’s professional affiliations include leadership positions in various evaluation associations. He represents AfrEA on the board of the IOCE, co-coordinates the Young and Emerging Evaluators Network of AfrEA, and serves as thematic leader for emerging evaluators within the ReBuSE board. Additionally, he has been involved in VOPEs (Voluntary Organizations for Professional Evaluation) worldwide since 2015.

His academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Public Administration with a focus on policy analysis and management from the École nationale d’administration publique in Quebec, Canada, completed in 2021. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Statistics from the Institut supérieur des sciences de la population at the University of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, obtained in 2012.

Ouédraogo has held significant positions in research and teaching roles. He is currently the CEO of Performance Initiative International since October 2023. Previously, he worked as an Expert in Capacity Development on Evaluation for the African Development Bank in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, and as an International Affairs Advisor at the École nationale d’administration publique in Quebec, Canada.

His research contributions are notable, with publications in esteemed journals focusing on knowledge management, evaluation methodologies, and public sector leadership. His publications cover topics such as mentoring in public sector contexts, the state of M&E systems in Francophone African countries, and the use of big data in public policy evaluation in Africa.
