Three AfrEA YEEs build their evaluation capacity at the 7th edition of the francophone emerging evaluators camp in Benin

Three Young and emergent Evaluators were sponsored by AfrEA to participate in the 7th edition of the francophone emerging evaluators camp, which held from 17 November to 23 November 2024 in Parakou, Benin. The francophone emerging evaluators camp is an intensive one-week training course designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of French-speaking evaluators.

During the camp, the capacity of these AfrEA-sponsored evaluators and those of their peers from several other Francophone Africa countries was strengthened in several fields of evaluation, including the formulation, planning, analysis and monitoring of the impact of public policies, programmes and development projects, in the context of globalization and digital transformation.

One AfrEA YEE was sponsored from each of the following countries: Cameroon, Rwanda, and Togo. This support was possible thanks to a grant from the MasterCard Foundation.

Representing the President, Carlos Akligo, Operations Manager of AfrEA gave a speech during the closing ceremony of the camp.
