Fatimata Wopa Gaye

Fatimata holds a Master’s degree in Development Project Management from Laval University-IDEA and serves as the West Africa Representative for the African Evaluation Association. With over 30 years of experience as a versatile manager, auditor, and inspector, she is now transitioning into the field of development evaluation, aiming to contribute to global development efforts.

 

Her expertise in Monitoring and Evaluation includes completing the International Program of Training in Monitoring and Evaluation (PIFED) at ENAP, Quebec, in collaboration with ACDI and the World Bank. She also served a three-year term (2011–2014) on the evaluation and audit committee of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), a UN specialized agency. Additionally, she participated in technical workshops on Results-Based Management (RBM), Multi-Year Planning (CDMT and CDS-MT), and the monitoring and evaluation of public programs and projects, organized by IDEA Canada and the Ministry of Finance of Senegal.

 

Fatimata played an active role in the preparatory phase of the national component of the regional program for the safety and security of air transport in West and Central Africa (PRSSTAOC). She received training on World Bank procurement procedures at the World Bank Office in Dakar and has been involved in volunteer initiatives in communities such as Fouta, Mbacké Kadior, and HLM Guédiawaye, focusing on reforestation, women’s education, and the distribution of school supplies.

 

Certified as a Procurement Trainer by ARMP Senegal in 2008, Fatimata has held key roles, including Administrative and Financial Director at ANACS and Trade Point Senegal, as well as Deputy DAF at the SPIE-CAPAG project. Between 2002 and 2004, she contributed to the restructuring of Senegal’s aeronautical sector, which led to the establishment of ANACS.
