AfrEA meets with Ethiopian Government and announces 25th anniversary celebration

Within the framework of the 25th anniversary celebrations of the African Evaluation Association, AfrEA President Dr. Miché Ouédraogo, led an official delegation of the African Evaluation Association – AfrEA and the Ethiopian Evaluation Association (EEvA) to Addis Ababa in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, received by the State Ministers, His Excellency Bereket Fesehatsion Tesfamariam and Her Excellency Tirumar Abate Ayalew of the Ministry of Planning and Development Ethiopia.

This meeting enabled AfrEA to officially announce the celebration of its 25th anniversary in June 2025 in Addis Ababa, in partnership with EEvA. The AfrEA delegation took the opportunity to thank the government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia for agreeing to officially host the silver jubilee of AfrEA, an event that will provide a platform for Stakeholders in the evaluation community to reflect on the achievements of the promotion of evaluation, the development of national evaluation systems across the continent, and the evidence on the African Union‘s Agenda 2063.

The official ceremony to commemorate the 25th anniversary of AfrEA will take place from 16th to 18th June 2025.
