AfrEA President delivers welcome address at high-level panel on evaluation, peace and development in Cote d’Ivoire

AfrEA President Dr. Miché Ouédraogo, on —– delivered the opening address of the 2nd edition of the high-level panel on evaluation, peace and development, organised as part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Ivorian Initiative for Evaluation (2IEval).

During this event, he reaffirmed AfrEA’s commitment to promoting sustainable and inclusive development in Africa, adding that evaluation can play a key role in conflict prevention, peacebuilding and the promotion of sustainable, inclusive development. He also highlighted AfrEA’s new Strategic Plan which strives to build an evaluation ecosystem that reflects the vision of an equitable and inclusive society.

Our strategic plan marks a decisive turning point in the history of AfrEA. It is a real catalyst for change, enabling us to position evaluation at the heart of our continent's development.
By investing in the training of our members, building the capacity of national institutions and promoting an evidence-based evaluation culture, we will fundamentally transform the way we design, implement and evaluate our public policies​​
