
What we seek to achieve
The Online Certificate Program would:
• Increase availability and utilization of evidence-based information using online dialogue and peer-to-peer learning.
• Strengthen the capacities of AfrEA members to conduct research and evaluation assignments.
• Develop a platform for mainstreaming evaluation discussion and dissemination of evaluation results
• Present modules on conducting research and evaluation, application of M&E principles, as integrated concepts
• Support sharing experiences to inform decisions and policies on the post-2015 development agenda, and the M&E requirements and initiatives boarding on research and evaluation in general.


The objectives of the project are to:
• Provide AfrEA members with a stage for experience sharing and learning from their peers
• Strengthen the capacities of AfrEA members to conduct research and evaluation assignments.
• Develop a platform for mainstreaming research & evaluation discussion and dissemination of research & evaluation results
• Present modules on applying R&E principles as integrated concepts
• Share experiences to inform decisions and policies on the post-2015 development agenda, and the R & E requirements and initiatives;
The course would be geared towards building specific competencies among the members of the VOPEs. Competencies that the course would seek to improve include:
