Tanzania Evaluation Association

In June 2006 a conference which brought together about 35 M and E experts from the public, private, civil society sector and development practitioners working in Tanzania was conducted. It was during this conference, a Steering Committee of the Tanzania Evaluation Association was nominated to spearhead the establishment of the Association in Tanzania. Committee members were drawn from the following organisations: Research and Poverty Alleviation (REPOA), Foundation for Civil Society (FCS), UNICEF, KIM Consult, AMICA Tanzania, TRACE (OD Facilitation and Training Centre), Kimara Peer Educators and President’s Office (PSM). Since then a number of processes have been going on. TanEA has evolved from the momentous world Agenda on Sustainable Development and governance by evaluation.
