Abdoul Aziz KANE – Biography

Abdoul Aziz KANE is a lawyer by training, holds a Master’s Degree in Public Law, Public Administration option, at the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences of Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (UCAD). Mr. Kane holds a Master’s Degree in Public Management and Governance from Senghor University of Alexandria (Egypt) with 25 years of experience. Mr. Kane first capitalized on a long and rich experience of more than twenty years in the field of business creation, entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship development. He has more than fifteen years of practical experience in building the capacity of Senegalese and African executives in project management, strategic and operational planning, monitoring and evaluation of projects that have led him in several African countries. Projects and programs financed by development partners. He capitalizes 10 years of experience in the central administration and the Presidency of the Republic as Technical Advisor. Mr. Kane has specific experience in the introduction of the results-based management (RBM) approach and budgeting in strategic sectors of the economy Since 2008, Mr. Kane has been an associate professor at the African Superior Center in Management (CESAG) in Entrepreneurship, Business Creation and Project Management (for Licenses, Masters and DESS), member of the Jury of the International CESAG Admission Competition . Mr. Kane is the Secretary-General of the Senegalese Association of Evaluation (Seneval), which aims to promote the culture and practice of evaluating public policies and programs in Senegal and Africa. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the African Evaluation Association (AfrEA) during the 8th Conference held in Kampala, Uganda, from 27 to 31 March 2017, as Representative of the African Region of The West. He also joined the African Community of Practices in Managing for Development Results (MDGs) and contributed to the establishment of his local branch in Senegal, SenCoP. Mr. Kane is a member of the West and Central African Network for Educational Research (ERNWACA) and was also President of the Association of Algerian Senghor graduates from Alexandria (ADISSEN) from 2010 to 2015.Mr Kane was raised to Grade de Chevalier in the Order of Merit of Senegal.

He has experience over 15 years in the strengthening of the capacities of Senegalese and African executives in management of projects in strategic and operational planning, monitoring and evaluation of projects that led in several African countries in the context of projects and programs funded by the development partners. It capitalizes 10 years of experience in the central administration and the Presidency of the Republic as Advisor technical. Mr. Kane has specific experience in the introduction of the approach (RBM) results-based management and budgeting in strategic sectors of the economy since 2008, Mr. Kane is teacher associated with the higher African Center in management (CESAG) in entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship and project management (for the licenses, Masters and DESS), Member of the Jury of the international competition for admission to the CESAG. As part of community life, Mr. Kane is Secretary general Association assessment Senegalese (Seneval) which seeks to promote the culture and practice of the assessment of policies and public programs in Senegal and in Africa. He was elected to the Board of Directors of African Evaluation Association (AfrEA) during the 8th Conference held in Kampala, Uganda from 27 to 31 March 2017, as representative of the West African Region. It has also integrated the African community of practice of managing for development results (MFDR) and contributed to the implementation of its local branch in Senegal, the SenCoP. Mr. Kane is a member of the network for West and Central African research in Education (ERNWACA) and was also President of the Senegalese Association of graduates of the Senghor University of Alexandria (ADISSEN) from 2010 to 2015. Mr Kane was elevated to the rank of Knight in the order of merit of Senegal.
